The protestant community in Simtown worship their old, lavish Cathedral from 1860. Of course it is mostly used for funerals and moments of grief, but many families also adore the large park surrounding the Cathedral, and use it subsequently for a nice Sunday picnic. In the church they are able to hear the Sunday preach, spend a moment of silent prayer, or just listen to some lovely church music.

Fully furnished and decorated The Cathedral is tall, but basically has only one usable floor.
On the lot you will find toilets, a park barbecue and a bookshelf to take care of your sims most basic needs.
If you want some ghost scaring the wits out of your sims at night, you can visit the Mausoleum and place the graves round and about.
Please note before you install: You must place the Cathedral on a Community lot 64x64 defined as a graveyard for it to work properly. (If you are not sure how to do this, see
this explanation.)
You will need
the whole Church set from Around the Sims 3. It is a fantastic set, and you must download it (
here) and install it, before you install the cathedral. My sincere respect and thanks to Around the Sims, because without her wonderful work this lot wouldn't be.
This lot also has some (pay) items from The Store. I have used several items from the
Romanza set, and without it the Cathedral would probably look a bit strange, even though you can still download without problems. The items in question will be replaced with items from the base game. I would, however, recommend that you have the
Faire window, the
double Victorian window and the
classical window, in additon to the above mentioned Romanza set.
The statue in front of the cathedral is
this one.
